I ordered and received both of Chloe's CDs and have been listening to them more or less continuously while wrapping Christmas presents. I have started to fall in love with Starry, Starry Night. First it was the music catching my ear but I've also come to realize that the lyrics are pretty different from the songs I've heard Chloe do. I also think I have heard Chloe sing in English, Latin, Spanish and Italian.................but not Irish Do I have that right or have I forgotten something?

She may not know Gaelic.....and she doesn't strike me as having the traditional Irish sound. And you have to put accents and things into the mix. It's hard to sing in a new language with the accurate accent. You can tell the difference between say Orla's accent and Chloe's accent. rla's is much more rich in the Irish lilt and Chloe has an almost British sound to her accent. (*melts* both accents are absolutely beautiful!).
I love that song! Josh Groban has....Chloe sings alot of songs that Josh Groban sings....anyways, He has it on his first CD in English (I don't know if Chloe's is). I've been falling asleep to it for the past couple of nights. ^_^

Everyone who enters school in Ireland by the age of eleven is required to study Irish. Since Chloe was born in Dublin I assume she is fulfilling that study requirement. Also, in the DVD interview she says she sings classical and Irish songs because that is what she was brought up around so it comes natural to her.
She handles all the other languages beautifully so I'm sure she can do it. Although I think you are correct that her speaking accent almost sounds a little brittish. It will beinteresting to see if touring with CW, especially with Lisa adding more Irish songs to her repetoire whether we see, or rather hear, Chloe do that as well.

Hi all. Im Sara,14 from Denver,Colarado! Chloes music has encouraged me to get involved in the music area in my school.I never would have thought about it before, but after hearing Chloe sing, and then finding out she was around my age,I decided to join the school choir and now you cant shut me up! lol! Anyway,I wrote to Chloe via.celtic collections/ and told her how much I admired her and that it was my dream to meet her! And I never even thought it was possible but she organised for me to come backstage after the show in Denver! (shes so great!) It was so amazing getting to meet her...but while I was there she did say she has a tutor on the road with her and that she does like 5hour classes A DAY! But she has an hour and a half of Irish everyday and she is practically fluent! So...nope....there is no end to her talent!!! lol! But on her second album she DOES sing in Gaelic (Irish!!!)...the song is called Sigma!!! Just thought I'd let ya'll know... Great forum...looking forward to getting to know u all better..... x

Sara,
Welcome to Chloe's forum.
Thanks for the info on Sigma. I knew I might have missed something she did in Irish but when you are not sure and put it in a post spmeone always seems to know for sure.
I was at the Denver concert! I loved the way the left the stage at the end. You must have been so excited to see chloe backstage you might not remember the last part of the concert.
I hope you are enjoying choir. It's not everyone who gets personal encouragement from a member of one of the hottest groups in the country!
